Sold out at the first edition: how Claude Community México began
The first Claude Code Meetup in Mexico City sold out before doors opened. On the night of February 3rd, developers, founders and AI engineers gathered around a simple idea: demo what you're building with Claude, live.
The lineup set the tone for everything that followed: César Méndez (AWS UG Leader) on AI-assisted development, Enrique Díaz (Google DG CDMX) on the ecosystem, Carlos Lara (Saptiva AI) on generative AI product, Javier Durán (Globant) on data engineering, Carolina Acosta (500 Global) on venture, and Emilio Peña (Product LatAm) on product community.
Between talks: RAG, prompt engineering, agentic automation, and the question that became our motto — what did YOU build? Dinner and networking closed a night that confirmed the hypothesis: Mexico has a critical mass of builders ready to organize.
What followed was a national tour: Monterrey, Mérida, Cancún, Colima, Villahermosa, Hermosillo, Xalapa... and two stops in San Francisco. This community is just getting started.
